Sanderling

In October and November 2024, during visits to Filey, North Yorkshire, we came across a small number of Sanderling feeding at the edge of the incoming tide as we were walking our dog along the beach. This was my first ever encounter with Sanderling and a wonderful opportunity to photograph these small wading birds.
